零件池

Parts Pool

The "parts pool" is a self-deprecating way of saying that artist Ye Suproduces one "circle" after another on a daily basis, and that the nature and spirituality of the industrial city of Chongqing can be seen everywhere: the water beaches, the river banks, the no-man's land. For him, art is a kind of energy, and the round ink paintings exhibited in the "Parts Pool" project are different pieces of energy cut out of art. The exhibition is curated by Ni Kun. Circular papers and canvas of varying sizes are randomly distributed on the gray ground. The small photo representations of circular shopping areas on the walls, the pull tabs, balloons, signs, liberation monuments and life rings in the carriages are placed in the context of the ebb and flow of the city's geography, often requiring the "reader" to get close enough to see them.
